Shocking Yellow fungus is more deadlier than black and white fungus.
After black and white fungus a case of yellow fungus infection has been reported in Delhi NCR amid Covid-19. Currently there is only one case of yellow fungus in Ghaziabad, yellow fungus which grows internally is said to be more dangerous than the other two types in the recent of DNA.
Some days before there was a report of white fungus of 4 patients from Patna. It is now recommended to seek early treatment in the case of Symptoms begin to appear.

What causes yellow fungus?
Comparatively fungus are available to everywhere, but when a covid patient recovers they are so weak internally so yellow fungus or any fungus is just trying to parasite us.
However the main cause of yellow fungus can range from high humidity to old food, maybe the primary cows is said to be poor hygiene. Get rid of old food, proper disposal of faeces can prevent the bacteria and fungus from expanding.
Humidity in closed space such as office or house should not be above 30 to 40% range as high moisture environment promote the growth of this fungus.
Is black fungus spreading in India?
States across India have begun declaring a “black fungus” epidemic as cases of the fatal rare infection shoot up in patients recovering from Covid-19. The fungal disease, called mucormycosis, has a 50% mortality rate.
Why is fungus happening?
It is caused by exposure to mucor mould which is commonly found in soil, plants, manure, and decaying fruits and vegetables. “It is ubiquitous and found in soil and air and even in the nose and mucus of healthy people,” says Dr Akshay Nair, a Mumbai-based eye surgeon.
The Patient Treatment?
If at the right time, yellow fungus is treatable as is the case of the man who has been tested for the yellow fungus in infection in Ghaziabad. Amphotericin B Injection, which is an antifungal drug is used in yellow fungus treatment.
Currently our government has shortage of this drug, according to a list shared by Sadananda Godwa 2 days back, the distribution of amphotericin b to the states is being done on the basis of the number of mucormycosis cases reported by them.
Gujarat was allotted 5,800 vials of the drug, which was about 25% of the total of 23,680 additional vials that the Centre released.
Now our government is promising to import 6.8 lakh vials of amphotericin b injections in May June domestic production ramped up by 2.6 lakh vials.
Currently the five companies got DCGi’s nod are Alembic Pharmaceutical, Emcure Pharmaceutical, Gufic Biosciences, Lyca Pharmaceutical, and Nacto Pharma. Presently six firms-BDR Pharma, Bharat Serums and Vaccines, Mylan, Sun Pharma, Cipla, and Life Care- are producing the Drug.
Conclusion: There are currently 8.848 cases of black fungus estimated across the India. White fungus on the other hand is said to be a less dangerous version of black fungus. Most of these infections are being reported in the people with diabetes or those who had extensively use steroids in Covid-19 treatment.
