Loki, Episode 1, Review as it was emotional rollercoaster.
Loki is an American television series created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service Disney+, featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it shares continuity with the films of the franchise and takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline. Loki is produced by Marvel Studios, with Waldron serving as head writer and Kate Herron directing for the first season.
Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from the film series, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, and Owen Wilson also starring. By September 2018, Marvel Studios was developing a number of limited series for Disney+, centered on supporting characters from the MCU films. A series featuring Hiddleston as Loki was confirmed in November 2018. Waldron was hired in February 2019, and Herron had joined by that August. Filming began in January 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, but was halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed that September and completed in December.
The Web Series premiered on June 9, 2021, and will consist of six episodes. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU. A second season is in development.
This episode was too heavy for the audience, as it was emotional rollercoaster, it was worthwhile to watch 53 minute long episode without a single break, this episode had a drastic change in character of Loki, as our God of Mischief tries to escape the Time Variance Authority(TVA), it seems that Marvel Cinematic Universe is planning and seeding seeds of multiverse for upcoming Phases.
In recent interview of Tom aka God of Mischief he confirmed that his family saga with his brother Thor has been completed, he might not return back in Thor upcoming sequel Love and Thunder, also so the president of Marvel studios Kevin Fiege confirmed that web series will play a vital important roll for the the upcoming phases which will set up be the the multiverse.
The episode first of the web series had a great reason for Loki to be changed for Glorious Purpose, the Loki was from the the timeline of 2012 after he escaped Avengers Tower through Tressact, after he saw his own future he was shocked and amazed that his own supremacy desires and decision let everyone to suffer, fun fact the built up of the three phases was Infinity stone but from now Infinity stones are not the most powerful weapons/object in MCU.
Kevin Fiege confirmed that Loki web series will tie up with the upcoming Doctor Strange of Multiverse, and will set up Spider-Man No Way Home where three different Spider-Man will fight together with loosely adopted Sinister Six Villains.
WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was not so important as reference to setup something important for upcoming Phases but Viewers has to watch this Web Series, because of Multiverse Concept. In this web series God of Mischief will try correct his own different timelines that he created by skipping his Main Timeline, the rumors is, the main villain of this web series is female God of Mischief who is trying to do something with the timeline..
This web series might also set up up the upcoming Fantastic Four movie and one of the most important villain of time travel related movies that is Kang the conqueror who is supposed to be the next main villain for Avengers 5.
This Web Series is available on Disney Plus Premium and VIP in English and Hindi format, will release every episodes on every upcoming Wednesdays.
